Briefing:

One of the rare systems of cooperation shared equally by the Terran Hegemony and the Draconis Combine was Nashira. Its idyllic environment and resource wealth continue to make it important to both interstellar nations. The situation hasn’t always been friendly either as the populace frequently seems to be on the edge of fighting as evidenced by the Logan Riots during the Star League era. After Amaris abandoned Nashira and the SLDF moved onto more important targets House Kurita moved quickly to safeguard its interests on planet. Stationing a DCMS force on Nashira made it a de facto possession of the Dragon in spite of Terran protests. Rather than maintain the status quo on Nashira the Combine began a not so subtle effort of Japanification. This endeavor to transform the culture of Nashira to a Draconian style has been met with some hostility by Terran citizens. Rebuilding projects taking on a distinct Kuritan fashion and a constant campaign of ideological persecution have mobilized a significant portion of the Terran populace to take up arms.

The 5th An Ting Legion is gradually learning how to fight a guerilla war but the Terran Resistance formed during the Amaris Coup still holds a distinct advantage in this area. Recently the ISF has taken the lead in most operations calling in the Legion only when they require heavy backup. Currently the Draconis forces effectively hold most of the northern continent of Katiasha with the exception of Logan City. The region in and around the planetary capital is still an active battle zone with constant insurgent attacks against the Draconis occupation almost a daily occurrence. The Dragon’s reprisals are just as devastating near Logan City which doesn’t look much like the serene Kurita stronghold city of Ogawa located just fifty kilometers to the south. The southern continent of Copenwald is another story. Less populated than Katiasha it is home to most of the planet’s industry and mining concerns. New Anaheim continues to be a bastion of Terran support as the DCMS has difficulty just maintaining control over this region. The DCA blockade of Nashira currently prevents the CIB from actively aiding the Terran Resistance on planet.
