Born in the great House Davion, John Davion followed the classical path of a Davion that is not designed to reign but to serve the Federated Suns.
Therefore after serving in the AFFS (like nearly all members of the Davion familly before him), he was given in 2740 a position in the Ministry of Ways and Means. The idea was to appoint him later to a position of minor advisor in one of the embassies of the Federated Suns.

Leading economic indicators are reinforcing analysts’ predictions that the current recession may develop into a full depression in the Federated Suns. As an example, new construction of homes in the Golden Five worlds has sharply declined along with the production of civilian vehicles and spacecraft.

With SLDF units being courted as a quick way to bolster the Member State Militaries, at least one unit has departed. The Federated Suns has quickly had to offer mercenary contracts, and land grants to several SLDF units the remained behind when General Kerensky and the majority of the Defense Force departed into the unknown Periphery. It seems all the Member States are also offering to hire or incorporate units within their territory, and some are actually sending representatives to other States to lure units to their banners.

On August 6th a single Draconis jumpship entered the Kesai star system using a non-standard transit point to quickly approach our planet almost undetected. As it would turn out the threat force attacking this world was none other than the elite first battalion of the 1st Proserpina Hussars. This unit is renowned for their hit and run raiding abilities and they would demonstrate these talents quite effectively during this battle.

The recent DCMS raid on Kesai IV, which was repulsed by our brave soldiers on planet, has caused some to question our military’s capabilities. While the First Prince himself admitted in a recent interview that he would like to see better performance in future conflicts he remained confident in the AFFS fighting ability. In fact many in the High Command laud their troops fighting spirit and interservice competitiveness. As a whole these officers claim this rivalry gives them an edge over any opponent. Some refer to warriors with this drive for success during a fight as having the “Eye of the Tiger”.

After months of traveling through virtually the entire InnerSphere the Davion Diplomatic Delegation has returned to the Federated Suns. Led by Prince Imperial Joshua Davion the group journeyed to every capital world save one almost like the First Lord of the defunct Star League. This no doubt was the point of the entire undertaking. While First Prince John Davion remained on New Avalon with his daughter-in-law and infant grandson to tend to matters of state the grand envoys were dispatched to gauge the current mood of interstellar relations.
